General settings

Open Settings in the builder header, then the General tab. This is where the app’s identity lives: what it is called, what the stores know it by, and what it looks like on the home screen.

The name under the icon on a member’s home screen.

It is applied at the next build, so changing it here does not rename the app on a phone that already has it installed until they update.

This is not the name on your store listing. That is set separately, under Store listing, and the two are allowed to differ — the stores cap the listing name at 30 characters, and you may want a longer or shorter name on the device than in search results.

The reverse-domain string that names your app to Google Play and to App Store Connect — com.yourclub.app. It must start with a letter and contain at least one dot.

See Submitting to the stores for where the identifier is used, and Bundle ID for the rules Apple puts on it and why it is permanent.

The launcher icon, bundled into the build. Set one for iOS and one for Android — the stores and the two operating systems process them differently, so they are uploaded separately even if you use the same artwork for both.

Apple rejects a placeholder icon, and the iOS icon is one of the requirements checked before an iPhone build runs — see App icon.

Use a square PNG, 1024 × 1024 px, up to 5 MB. A non-square image, or one smaller than the platforms need, is the most common cause of a build failing at the icon step — see When a build fails.

Like everything compiled into the app, a new icon reaches a phone only after the next build.
