Community Feed
Members read, write and react to your Fluent Community posts in the app, and everything they do there reaches your portal exactly as if they had done it on your website.

Placing the feature switches both groups on for you on a connected site.
Add it to your app
Section titled “Add it to your app”Drag Community Feed onto a navigation bar or into the side drawer. Two background features come with it, added for you:
- Community Post — a post with its comments, opened by tapping a post.
- Space — a space, opened from a post’s space name.
Each has its own Title, Description, background and settings in the Background zone, so a post looks the same wherever it opens from.

Under Appearance, Feed sizing sets the avatar, name, action icon and action text sizes, Full-width cards runs posts edge to edge, and Gap between posts spaces them — the same controls the News Feed has. Space, in the Background zone, has its own for a space’s feed, and Community Post its own sizing.

What your members see
Section titled “What your members see”Posts from every space they can see — public spaces, and private or secret ones they belong to — each with its space, topics, images, link preview or poll. They can bookmark a post, vote in a poll, and open it to comment and reply. A long thread shows ten comments at a time, each with its replies, and Show more comments brings the next ten. A comment changed after posting, in the app or on your portal, says edited. Their own posts and comments can be edited and deleted; a space’s admins and moderators can do the same to anyone’s.
- Reactions. Tapping the heart reacts; the smiley offers six emoji, the same as the News Feed’s. The summary shows the top three and opens who reacted with what. Comments take reactions too. Each reaction is also a like on your website, so the portal’s like count stays right.
- Mentions and hashtags. Typing
@suggests members — inside a space, its members — and#suggests tags, in the composer and in comments. A mention notifies the member; a tag opens Search on it when the app has Search. - Reposts. Repost instantly shares a post to the member’s own feed; Repost with thoughts adds their words above it. Either shows on your portal as a post carrying a link card to the original, and the count opens who reposted. A post in a private space can be reposted only inside it.
- Live updates. With Realtime, new posts and comments appear without a pull.
- Ads and insights. Advertise cards go between posts in the feed and a space’s feed, and the author of a post gets an Insights link on it with Insights on.
The composer posts into a space the member may post in, with topics, up to the number of images your site allows, and an optional poll. If a space insists on a topic, the composer says so before posting.
Comments, replies, reactions, mentions and reposts reach members in the app’s Notifications and as push.
Fluent Community’s own rules apply: who may post in a space, its posting rate limit, its duplicate check and any moderation you have switched on. Members you or they have blocked in the app are hidden from each other’s feed and comments.
When it does not work
