Notification Bell
A bell with an unread count. Tapping it opens the member’s notifications rather than a screen of its own.

Add it to your app
Section titled “Add it to your app”Drag Notification Bell into the upper nav bar. That is where members expect a bell, and it keeps a bottom-nav slot free for a destination.
Placing the bell places the notifications screen too. The bell is an entry point, not a destination, so the app needs somewhere for it to open. You do not have to add Notifications yourself, and removing the bell leaves that screen where it is.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”The bell has no options of its own. It takes the icon, label and role restrictions every nav element takes — the list it opens is configured on Notifications.
What your members see
Section titled “What your members see”A bell carrying the number of unread notifications. The count updates on its own where Realtime is switched on for the site, and on opening the app where it is not.

When it does not work
Section titled “When it does not work”| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The card is greyed out | The notifications plugin is inactive | Activate it |
| No count ever appears | The Notifications group is off | Enable it |
| The count is stale | Realtime is off for the site | Expected — it refreshes on open |
| Tapping does nothing | The notifications screen was removed from the background | Re-add the bell, which restores it |
