Groups related items in the side drawer under one expandable heading.

Add it to your app
Section titled “Add it to your app”- Open the Side Nav tab.
- Drag Parent Menu onto it.
- Give it a Title — this is the group heading members see.
- Drag features into it — up to 8 on Free, 50 on Pro and Unlimited.

8 children on Free, 50 on Pro and Unlimited — the same figure that caps the drawer’s top level, because “how many things fit in this menu” is one question. The editor shows the count against your own ceiling as you build.
This is a plan limit, not a layout one. Nothing about a phone stops a group growing — the drawer scrolls — so the number you get is the number your tier grants. See Plans and limits.
Whether the heading shows a disclosure arrow is set app-wide, under Sidebar Sub-navigation Arrow in Appearance.
When to group
Section titled “When to group”A drawer of six items does not need grouping. A drawer of fifteen is a list nobody reads, and grouping turns it into four or five things people can scan. Reach for a parent menu when the drawer has outgrown a glance, not before — and if the drawer is long enough that even the group headings are a list, turn on the drawer’s search box as well.
Group by what members are trying to do, not by which plugin provides it. “Groups, My Groups, Create Group” is one heading called Groups; splitting them by plugin would be an accurate description of your site and a useless menu.
Restrictions apply to the whole group
Section titled “Restrictions apply to the whole group”Restricting a Parent Menu hides the heading and everything in it. A child with its own restriction is hidden individually — but if the parent is hidden, so is the child, whatever the child allows.
If a group heading disappears for some members, check the parent’s restrictions before the children’s.
What your members see
Section titled “What your members see”A row in the drawer that expands to show the features grouped under it, and collapses again. It opens no screen of its own.
