Activity Thread (BuddyPress)
One activity post, with its replies nested up to five deep.
This is a background feature. Members reach it by tapping a post’s replies.

Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | Content styling | Inherits app tokens |
What your members see
Section titled “What your members see”The post in full, its favourites, and its replies. Members can favourite, reply, and reply to replies down to five levels.
Below five, further replies attach at the fifth level rather than nesting deeper — the same rule BuddyPress applies on the web, and the reason a phone-width thread stays readable.
Not the Ultimate Member one
Section titled “Not the Ultimate Member one”Activity Thread is the Ultimate Member wall’s thread screen. This is BuddyPress’s.
They serve different feeds, and each needs its own background feature. If you placed Activity, you need this one — placing the Ultimate Member thread instead will not make BuddyPress replies open.
When it does not work
Section titled “When it does not work”| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Tapping replies does nothing | This feature is not placed | Add it on the Background tab |
| You placed the wrong thread screen | Two similarly named features exist | Place the BuddyPress one for BuddyPress activity |
| It will not drop | One is already placed | Check the Background tab |
| The thread is empty | The BuddyPress Activity group is off | Enable it |
| Replies stop nesting | Five levels is the limit | Expected |
