Write a Site Review
The form members write a review on. It reads your site’s own Site Reviews settings each time it opens, so it never asks for something your site does not want — or accepts something your site will refuse.
Before you start

Add it to your app
Section titled “Add it to your app”Drop Write a Site Review into the background zone. It is not a destination: members reach it from My Site Reviews. Placed in the background it carries the heading and description the form renders with.
Settings

There is deliberately nothing else. Which fields are required, the star scale, whether reviews are held for approval and the one-review-per-person limit all come from your site, not from the builder — see below.
What the form asks for
Section titled “What the form asks for”Whatever Site Reviews → Settings → Forms → Required Fields says, out of Rating, Title and Review, plus the terms checkbox when you require it.
Two settings from elsewhere also show up:
- Require Approval adds a line saying reviews are checked before they appear, so nobody is surprised when theirs does not.
- Limit Reviews is enforced by your site. A member over the limit is refused with your site’s own reason.
Name and Email are never asked for, even though Site Reviews lists them as required. Your website asks a visitor to type them; the app already knows who is signed in and takes both from the account. Asking again would be asking a member to confirm their own name.

Errors land on the field
Section titled “Errors land on the field”A missing rating puts the message under the stars, not in a banner at the top. Only failures that belong to no field — a network problem, a refusal from your site — appear as a block above the form.
After a successful post the form clears completely and says whether the review is live or waiting, then returns to the list.
Reviewing yourself
Section titled “Reviewing yourself”Not possible, and the refusal is immediate. Your website has no form for it, so Site Reviews never validates it — the app does.
When it does not work
Section titled “When it does not work”| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The form asks for a title, and you did not want one | Required Fields includes Title | Change it in Site Reviews’ settings |
| A terms checkbox appears | Required Fields includes Terms — it does by default | Remove it there if you do not want it |
| “Your review could not be saved” | Your site’s blacklist or review limit refused it | Check Site Reviews → Settings → Forms |
| Reviews never appear | Require Approval is on | Approve them, or switch it off |
