Pending reviews
Section titled “Pending reviews”If your site checks reviews before publishing them, a new review is invisible everywhere — including to the person who wrote it. Site Reviews’ own pages have never shown an author their held review, so the usual experience is writing something thoughtful and watching it vanish.
This screen shows it, marked Waiting to be published. Nobody else can see it.

Editing and deleting
Section titled “Editing and deleting”With Let members edit and delete on, members can change or remove their own review and nobody else’s.
Two things worth knowing:
- Editing re-opens moderation. On a site that checks reviews, an edited review goes back into the queue. Without that, anyone could publish anything by submitting something bland, waiting for approval, and then rewriting it.
- Deleting is permanent. The review is removed rather than moved to the trash, so it stops counting against your site’s one-review-per-person limit. A member who deletes theirs can write another; if it were trashed they would be refused with nothing on screen to explain why.
