Photo albums as native screens — a grid of albums, a grid of photos inside one, and a photo opened full-screen with its likes and comments.

Add it to your app
Section titled “Add it to your app”Drag Photos onto a navigation bar or into the side drawer.
This is the browsing screen. To let members manage their own albums, place My Photos, and to give them a direct route to a new album, place Create Album.

Likes and comments are one switch on your site. Ultimate Member governs both with a single setting, so a site that has switched photo comments off has switched likes off with them, and this toggle cannot bring either back.
A photo with its own comment lock stays closed however Comments is set.
What your members see
Section titled “What your members see”A member’s albums, then the photos in one, then a photo full-screen. Tapping a photo opens it with its reactions and comment thread; pulling down refreshes; the grid loads more as it scrolls.
On the full-screen photo, a tap leaves a heart and a long press opens the same six emoji the activity wall uses — one reaction per person, and picking the one already chosen takes it back. Above the buttons sits a summary of everyone else’s, which names them when tapped. The comment thread is already open on a photo that has comments, so the count is never the only sign that there are any, and the kebab in the top corner reports the photo.
Nothing here creates, edits or deletes. Browsing someone else’s albums never offers those controls however My Photos is configured.
Videos
Section titled “Videos”With Video connected, an album can hold videos among its photos. Each shows the thumbnail its author chose, a play button and its length, and the album’s count says how many of each — 4 photos · 1 video.
Opened full-screen, a video shows its thumbnail until a member taps it, then plays with sound at the quality their connection can carry. Swiping to the next item stops it. Reactions, comments and reporting work on a video exactly as on a photo. The Photos tab of a member’s profile marks videos the same way.
Where else a photo opens
Section titled “Where else a photo opens”The same full-screen photo, with the same reactions and thread, opens from the Photos tab of a member’s profile, and from an album posted to the News Feed — creating an album writes a post to the Ultimate Member activity wall, and tapping its gallery opens the album inside the app’s own back bar, titled by the album.
Those two screens reach the album through this feature’s settings, so Albums per row, Photos per row, Likes and Comments apply wherever a photo is opened from. An app with no Photos tab placed at all still opens them, with the defaults above.
Privacy comes from your site
Section titled “Privacy comes from your site”Album privacy is enforced by Ultimate Member - User Photos, not by the app. An album a member cannot see on the web is not returned to the app either.
If an album appears that you did not expect, check its privacy in WordPress rather than the tab’s configuration.
When it does not work
