Your builder account
Account settings in the builder — the avatar in the top right, then Account Settings — is where your own details live. Not your app’s members: those stay on your WordPress site.
Your profile picture
Section titled “Your profile picture”Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 2 MB, at least 96px on each side. It appears in the builder header and beside anything you post on the public roadmap.
- Upload picture / Replace picture — choose a file. It uploads immediately; there is no Save to press.
- Remove — only shown for a picture you uploaded.
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, you start with the picture from that account. Uploading your own replaces it everywhere, and it stays yours — signing in again does not overwrite it. Removing your upload falls back to the provider’s picture, and if there is none, to your initials.
Your email address
Section titled “Your email address”Your email address is the account. It is where build results, billing receipts and anything urgent about your apps are sent.
Before you confirm it, you can change it yourself. This is the way out of a typo at signup: change the address, and a fresh confirmation link goes to the new one.
Once you confirm it, the field is read-only. Only our team can move a confirmed account to a different address — write to support@memberside.app and we will do it for you. When we do, a confirmation link goes to the new address and a notice goes to the old one, so the previous holder always finds out.
Your password
Section titled “Your password”Change it under Change Password, entering your current password first.
If you signed up with Google or GitHub there is no password on the account, and the form is disabled — your sign-in is managed by that provider.
If you cannot sign in
Section titled “If you cannot sign in”Forgot password? on the sign-in page emails you a link to choose a new one. The page says the same thing for every address you can type, whether or not it has an account — so it never confirms who has one.
The link lasts 60 minutes and works once. We send one per account per minute: pressing the button again inside that minute sends nothing, so check spam before asking for another.
Choosing a new password signs you out everywhere else. That is the point of resetting one.
An account created with Google or GitHub has no password to reset. Ask for a link and the email says so, and names the button that does sign you in.
Deleting your account
Section titled “Deleting your account”Account Settings → Delete account. Type DELETE in capitals and enter your
password. (If you sign in with Google or GitHub there is no password to enter —
the confirmation email is what protects you instead.)
Nothing is removed straight away. The deletion is scheduled 48 hours ahead:
- You get an email immediately, with a Keep my account button. One click stops it.
- A banner appears on every page in the builder with a countdown and a Keep my account button.
- Your account works exactly as normal throughout — nothing is switched off while you decide.
After the 48 hours it runs on the next hourly sweep, so expect it to happen on or shortly after the time shown.
What is deleted
Section titled “What is deleted”- Every app you built, with its configuration, build history and uploaded images
- Your name, email address and profile picture
- Your sign-in credentials and every API token
- The WordPress credentials we held for your connected sites
What is kept
Section titled “What is kept”- Payment and subscription records, which we must keep for tax. They stay attached to an account row that no longer carries your name or address and that nobody can sign in to.
- Your email address on our do-not-email list, so nothing reaches you afterwards.
- Consent records for the sites you connected, including the domain.
Two things to do first
Section titled “Two things to do first”Download any builds you want to keep. APK and AAB files stop being downloadable when the account goes.
Cancel your plan first if you have one. Deleting cancels any paid subscription at that moment rather than at the end of the period you have paid for, and the remainder is not refunded.
One thing only you can do
Section titled “One thing only you can do”Our plugin created an application password in your own WordPress profile so the builder could reach your site. We delete our copy, but the original is on your server: go to Users → Profile → Application Passwords in WordPress and revoke the Memberside entry.
After the deletion has run
Section titled “After the deletion has run”Once the 48 hours are up, the account is gone and the apps cannot be brought back. Your email address is released, so you can sign up again with it — as a new account, starting empty.
